Berrod called Ulfarr over in an attempt to find out exactly what went on during the spar. He wasted no time in asking, and received just as swift an answer in reply. Evidently the attempted murder was only a mockery of such; Ulfarr had been trying to produce the conditions to open a chakra during their bout. Evidently he'd even announced the 'intent to kill' at the beginning of the spar as well. For the first time, Berrod was thankful for such foolishness. He gently admonished the man and advised him that while the house was perhaps ideal after everything that had gone on, to open one there would only disrupt the aether -- which included the wards, and whatever other subtle aetheric matters that the company's mages had going on. A pain in the arse, really -- and something he'd learned the hard way.

In the end, Ulfarr insisted that he had broken bonds with Gunnar to pursue his own path -- and was well aware of the consequences. He also accused Berrod of mistrust, and wanted to know what exactly he had to do to prove his loyalty, even after staining himself for Berrod's sake. Berrod assured Ulfarr that the man had his trust (something Berrod took admonishment for), but it would not be the same for anyone else. He was satisfied with Ulfarr's answer and sent a message to Osric at once. A conversation would need to follow.
