The new reef are made from Reinforced Steel Bar (Rebar) shaped into arches, and live coral branches are tied to the rebar, and spaced to accommodate their growth. . The reason you clean the new reefs (coral branches) with small wire brushes is that as they are small non-reefs at this time, the algae has to be scrubbed off as on a mature reef the fish and other marine life do this. Adhesive & 50yr Grime removal test. . Today I tested a few patches of my newly stripped saloon ceiling with a Paint Stripping Drill Attachment (photo 1). . It had, as shown in previous posts, 48 yrs of adhesive, grime, silicone and believe it or not POLYFILLER!!!. . As you can see in the video, it took seconds to deal with old and somewhat still tacky mess. . The result was a unbelievably silky smooth finish, which is very pleasing as I will not be replacing the headlining, I will be epoxy painting it, and replacing all exposed nuts and bolts, keeping them on show in an attempt to make a feature out of them.
