The Comsat Angels were an English post-punk band from Sheffield & Doncaster, operating from 1978–1995 and briefly in 2009.While never achieving the legendary status of many of their contemporaries, film critic and skiffle artist Mark Kermode once described them as, “Joy Division if Joy Division knew how to play their instruments,” and the band went on to Influence post-punk revival acts including Interpol.
