The Christophers feels like one long awkward family conversation… in the best way possible. Set within London’s contemporary art scene, the film mixes dry humour, uncomfortable family drama and subtle twists really well. It’s very dialogue-heavy, but Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel as the film leads make every interaction engaging.

A sharp, character-driven dark comedy with a surprisingly easy charm.

Hokum leans fully into Irish folklore. As a horror, the isolated Irish inn setting, eerie lighting and creepy visuals create this constant feeling of dread throughout the film. Make no mistake, this is a slow-burn supernatural thriller that takes a whike to get going. Once things unravel, the tension really kicks in.

Andrew Scott carries the film with a grounded, intense performance and the Irish folklore elements make the horror feel more unsettling and unique.

Exit 8 is built around repetition, tension and paranoia. Set in an endless underground metro corridor, it follows a man trying to escape by spotting subtle anomalies hidden in the environment.

It’s eerie, visually bold and quietly unsettling, with small jump scares throughout. If puzzle-heavy psychological horror is your thing, this film is worthba watch.

Rose of Nevada is one of those indie films that tries something different. It’s slow, a bit confusing but full of mystery, time travel and deeper themes around identity and personal acrifice.

George MacKay and Callum Turner bring solid performances and the experimental, grainy visuals give it a unique feel. The film wil not be for everyone, but interesting if you want something outside the usual, mainstream fare.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is a visually bold and emotionally engaging story about two prisoners who find connection throughclassic Hollywood musical film and imagination. It blends grounded drama with vibrant musical fantasy in a way that feels fresh and creative. Jennifer Lopez brings classic Hollywood elegance, while Diego Luna and Tonatiuh really stand out together.

California Schemin’ is a fun, slightly ridiculous but very entertaining film. It follows two ylung aspiring Dundee rappers who fake American accents and somehow make it big, it’s as mad, wild and chaotic as it sounds.

Samuel Bottomley and Seamus McLean Ross as Silibil and Brains carry the film with loads of energy, especially in the music scenes. Hip hop fans will definitely enjoy this one. An easy watch and quite enjoyable.

The Drama leans fully into discomfort. It feels observational, like you’re watching a real relationship fall apart after a dark truth comes out.

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson carry the film with natural chemistry and their shifting perspectives keep things interesting. It’s heavy, it's honest and not always easy to sit through but guess that's kind of the point.

The Magic Faraway Tree is one of those adaptations that might split fans of the book, but there’s still a lot to like. The film is nostalgic, magical, immersive and visually stunning with a story that balances adventure, humour and some reflective moments.

The cast is solid and Rebecca Ferguson makes an impact even with limited screen time. A fun, easy watch, a bit emotional and definitely feels like it could continue with more worlds to explore .
