Following up the posts related to iterative detailing and types of drawings that we used in designing the Moose 68 Feature Wall with New Sun Rising, this is a revised elevation. After reviewing detailing and methods of construction, it led us to reconsider scale and composition of the panels. While we ultimately pursued the aesthetic and tectonic strategies shown in renderings posted last week and throughout the summer, this drawing is reflective of the recursive process we employed in moving between detailing, material processing, and compositional design. 

Simultaneous to the development of processing logistics, we were developing the construction documents for the projects at Moose68 this summer. Working within the constraints of the project has led to some pretty interesting design challenges. New Sun Rising is a non-profit organization, and they are implementing the adaptive reuse of the existing building in phases. The feature wall will have to adapt as the phasing is implemented. These elevation drawings show how we have proposed moving High Performance Concrete Panel (HPCP) from an area completed in Phase I to an area in Phase II when all of the building entrances/connections to the outside are realized.
