UC-LOGIC Artisul Review
HELLO! And welcome to my Review of the New UC Logic Artisul D13!
Now before we get into the technical stuff I want to thank Kari Lin and UC Logic for the organization of this review! Also, The Artisul is coming out to stores on December 25, 2015, so on Christmas Day! And if you are unfamiliar with the Artisul (Penates) Brand, itâs basically an on-screen digitizer tablet made by the leading digitizer company! It is made to be just like a Cintiq but the Artisul is even better when considering price and quality!
Anyway, letâs begin!
ABOUT THE UNBOXING:
So When I opened up the box, I noticed that the Artisul was the first thing to appear when I took of the top of the box! As I went deeper, I discovered the Pen Case, The 3 Video cables, And the Pen Holder! It doesnât come with itâs 051 Stand, but that can be additionally purchased too!
SO then I opened up my laptop, but I was informed to uninstall any of my former drivers and restart the computer and then install the driver from their website! (Donât Panic, I reinstalled my Wacom Driver later that day with no trouble at all!) They also have an Update Framework on their website that accurately improves the pen pressure. Â It really didnât take long to do, but if you donât know how to plug it in you can download their manual for either Mac or Windows operating systems on their website at www.artisul.com
Technical Stuff
NOW, Say Hello to the Artisul D13, a 13â3 Inch Interactive Pen Display, That believe it or not, is for all intents and purposes A PORTABLE, AND AFFORDABLE, CINTIQ COMPANION 2!
Itâs got a 1920 x 1080 IPS Display with a 178 Degree Viewing Angle and a 16:9 Aspect Ratio, The Connections are HDMI & USB, And works only on Mac and Windows Operating Systems!
Now with the Digitizer Specs: Itâs Electromagnetic and has a pen pressure sensitivity of 2048 Levels! (X2 the original amount of previous graphic tablets!) Â Itâs got 6 programmable hot keys for your choice of customization and (just like the Cintiq 13HD) has a scroll wheel for you to set to some task like auto scroll, or zooming in!
NOW MY PERSONAL FEELING OF IT!
I LOVE THIS THING! Â For mostly being a digitizer company, this REALLY emulates the feel of the Cintiq 13HD with the customizable hot keys and 13â3 Screen and build! Itâs highly recommended for the average artist who is on the go (Itâs a great companion for your backpack when youâre traveling) And Also, UC Logic Fixed the Cursor Bug/Problem they encountered in their previous Penates 10.1SP! And I feel that that is Artisul is a very big accomplishment for the company since it can be very useful to the artist who currently wants a Cintiq, but couldnât afford one!!
Now for the cons, which are quite insignificant when you realize it! The first con is that it doesnât have a display toggle feature unlike the Cintiq driver. This means youâll have to use your mouse to navigate the other screen rather than tapping a button to switch. And (Physically) The second and LAST con is that the stand is actually not available in the box and is separate meaning youâll have to substitute it by either using the pen-case or if you have a laptop to rest it on the palm rest.
Now the Price! The usual price for a Cintiq Companion 2 is around $1,200 USD, but UC Logic Took the chance, and split it in HALF, So the Artisulâs MSRP is starting at around $600 ($599 Rounded Up)
Which brings us to the overall question: âIs this tablet worth it for the Average to Professional Artistâ And the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES! With that kind of awesome quality, very relatively similar to Wacomâs Driver and build for only the price of HALF, That is a definite steal right there! But really, itâs not just the price that will make you buy it! Itâs all up to you, The Reader, The Customer, or even The UC Logic fan!
I hope that this helped someone in the market looking to upgrade from their previous tablet! or anybody interested with technology! Thank you for reading my review of the Artisul D13 and I Bid you farewell! Shop here: www.Artisul.com! Enjoy Buying! :D

Here are some paintings I did on it and more to come! :
