It's this huge grocery store chain called Publix. I was hoping I could stay at Barnes & Noble for a long time, but then this pandemic happened. I'm hoping that if things go well, they'll look at me as someone to keep around and keep me much longer than when I worked at Barnes & Noble.

like dont get me wrong, building relationships and connecting w people about this stuff that can be hard to talk about is a huge reason why i’m here. i am open to talking to people about difficult shit, but for fucks sake YOU HAVE TO ASK. you HAVE to be a person. you cannot just dump a bunch of shit on my doorstep and go ‘thanks for taking that off my hands’.
and sometimes you do wanna talk to someone you dont know very well; maybe they have experience with something you want to talk about, maybe you want an outsider’s opinion on something. but all you gotta do is SAY THAT!!!!!! “hey we dont know each other that well but can i talk to you about something?” like the worst thing im gonna do is say no.
