Is Uber doing well this quarter over previous one!!
To start off, like I reported last quarter, Uber’s troubles are not really having an impact on its bottom line. Knowing that, despite that, they are still trying to do better actually puts them a cut above all the other sociopathic corporations. So um.... good for them, I guess. In the last quarter, Uber took in $8.7 billion - with a b - dollars last quarter. That’s a 17 percent increase over the previous quarter.

Meet Uber's newly chosen CEO Photo: Dara Khosrowshahi in 2012 at the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference - by Paul Sakuma/ by Kia Kokalitcheva - April 28 2017 - https://www.axios.com/meet-ubers-newly-chosen-ceo-2478573293.html < see full article On Sunday night, Uber's board of directors finally chose its next CEO: Dara Khosrowshahi, Expedia's chief executive. The Uber CEO job has been vacant since late Junem when co-founder Travis Kalanick stepped down after being pressured by a group of investors. Why it matters: At $70 billion, Uber is the most valuable private company in the world. It's also a global business that's facing a multitude of challenges, including ongoing losses, an ugly trade secret theft lawsuit, an aggressive culture that has created an environment of sexual harassment and discrimination, and a strained relationship with drivers, among other things. Hopefully, Khosrowshahi's combination of dealmaking and management skills will help him navigate the above, along with managing a rambunctious board of directors (with one member currently suing another), and of course, working with Kalanick. Note: Uber Technologies Inc. is an American technology company headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, operating in 633 cities worldwide. It develops, markets and operates the Uber car transportation and food delivery mobile apps. -- Steven H MacDowall www.thursdayfile.com
