I tried to translate this press conference iconic moment as best as I could, Ubaldo didn’t make it very easy because he’s using very very colloquial speech. Sintax not found. I hope that you can understand it and that I was able to not lose all the humor in translation, let me know if there are any mistakes <3

tbh with you I have no idea what he was trying to ask hahahahahah he is very poetic and convoluted as usual. Jannik answer is interesting and very honest though so I translated that too!

A couple of translation notes: it italian we use the phrase ‘morire dalla voglia di’ —> ‘dying because of the want for’ and Ubaldo uses it in his question, I translated with ‘were you dying to’ but it doesn’t match completely the words spoken

we also use ‘[this thing] non ti cambia la vita’—‘it doesn’t change your life’ to say that you can take it easy because it’s not a little detail that can make all the difference, so what Jannik means in his answer is that they were aware that getting back in form would take time and they didn’t train so hard in the beginning because it wouldn’t make a difference training harder in the first few days.
