Here are highlights from the 2018 Labor Day Arts Festival, which was the first festival at Northam Park after the Opening of Centennial Plaza, on the West side of Northam Park, next to the Main Library in Upper Arlington.

With Parades and Fireworks across the country being canceled due to COVID-19, communities had to come up with alternative ways to celebrate.  Upper Arlington was no exception. Here are highlights from UA’s Centennial Fourth of July Festivities in 2018.

Tuesday at Northam Park from 3:30 to 6:30PM is the Centennial Celebration of the City of Upper Arlington, which was incorporated as a village on March 20, 1918.  Founded by King and Ben Thompson, Upper Arlington was designed as a country club community, with its curvy streets that defied the traditional grid pattern (case in point - the Near East neighborhood of Eastgate and the East Side neighborhood of Berwick also had curvy streets in their designs around that same time).  The Upper Arlington Historic District (everything SOUTH of Lane Avenue) was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1985.
