â under the fire â sungjae + minhyuk
rkkmh:
As the day waned on, Minhyuk didnât know if he was more at ease, or more uncertain how to approach the people who were watching them. There was already a bandage on Minhyukâs arm when heâd taken a fall in the dance, the edges pressed in more firmly as he held the TRC merchandise in his hands. âThereâs a guy over there,â another traineeâs voice in his ear drew Minhyukâs gaze to the male, and he bobbed in his head. A smile firmed on his lips as he jogged up to the male, water bottle in his hands as he bowed forward in greeting. âHello! I hope you enjoyed the performance,â Minhyuk spoke, warmly and with as much energy as he could produce. They were in front of the public, and he wasnât going to let anyone leave the site without a good feeling radiating from them. Except, he was better with girls, which was only because he was taught the gwiyomi song. A nervous laugh from his lips as he offered out the water bottles.
âItâs been hot today, I hope youâve had a good day today,â Minhyuk continued with the buoyant conversation, trying not to simply come and leave; to give everyone the same amount of attention. No matter what, they might have been a fan one day. His eyes curved with his smile, a flushed expression as he shifted his weight, growing abashed at his very lame attempt. Most of the other TRC traineeâs were hip-hop, at ease, casual. âPlease stay hydrated and stick around to see us dance again later. Tell your friends,â he continued, knowing he overheard another trainee offer some of the words to another person and he picked them up. Hoped they would be useful and appear warm. âThank you again for watching,â Minhyuk finished as he bowed again, a smile on his lips as he was in a polite stance again and then found his abashed laughter on his lips again. Gaze darted with his slight panic, he hoped heâd done well.
sungjae had been walking around town, as he had just finished some random cross fit class that he found around this area. he had been meaning to try out different types of exercise lately, wanting to keep his body in shape. with his new focus on music, composing, working on his voice and the instruments that he placed, it was hard for him to make time for the gym or playing basketball with a couple people that were around to try and play with him. however, music didnât seem to stop following him. even as he was walking to the bus stop, he had heard a loud blast of music as a group of people were joined together. it seemed like a flash mob of sorts, but at the same time it wasnât. the only way he could find out about it was to walk over to that area, looking around at the other people watching them. as he stood there, he could see them dancing to this song that he had heard so many times over the radio, music videos and people screaming over it. it made him smile, seeing how great most of them were, only to have him a bit envious that they were able to do such things while he practically had two left feet.Â
once the performance had ended, he had clapped along with the rest of the crowd, impressed with what he had seen. as he was just about to leave, he had only heard a voice that called out to him. not his name per say, but one that seemed to be calling his attention. he turns to that, only to see a male handing him a water bottle. he takes it from him, turning it a bit to see the label which does make him smirk. he should have known. they were that great because they were trainees taken in by one of the top companies in south korea. trc entertainment. it wasnât exactly one of his top choices, but to be part of that was definite a huge deal. âthanks. you guys were great out there.â he tells the other with much admiration. âiâm no dancer, but that definitely was amazing. arenât you guys going to move to somewhere with more shade though? the sunâs not exactly merciful today.â the hand gripping onto the water bottle gestured up to the sky, seeing how cloudless it was and how the sun was blazing hot that anyone that stayed under it would probably melt.Â
