Being second in command, what does Ango think of Mars letting anyone join the crew?
Honestly he trusts her judgement. They had a few arguments when he first joined her crew about letting just anyone join. But she continued to remind him thats how he got let in and how other people deserve to be given a chance just as he was. He relents but is still pretty wary about it. Even though he's an outcast he still can act a bit pompous at times so Mars has to keep him in check and humbled from time to time
Usually he's pretty cold at first. Often very reserved since lots of people Mars bring in input stock around for a few months maybe a year at best before moving on and striking out on their own. Usually he softens up a bit but after a couple of betrayals he tends to remain extra reserved now.
The only exception to this has been Gidget who Ango had a soft spot for since day one (it helps that he spent just about every day with her for the first few months of her joining while he repaired her)
And despite how cold and kind of mean he was to Zai when he first joined Zai stuck to his guns and kept trying to get Ango to open up. Nowadays they're thick as thieves (even if Ango says they aren't)
Nowadays he's less mean and snippy to any new comers, but he still holds a slight air of distrust for anyone who doesn't join as a permanent member. He often thinks his crewmates are too quick to trust, so he takes it upon himself to "be the bad guy" and hold a bit of suspicion in case they get betrayed again
