There were a lot of moments that led up to the big aha. And honestly they continue over and over to this day. Those moments where I realize just how much I love him and remember that he is in fact the one.
♡ He made me laugh and stutter during our first interaction
♡ The first time we talked on the phone, it was all night long. We had so much in common and were genuinely interested in each other's lives
♡ He was an amazing listener. One of the first times we hung out, I was drunk and kept rambling and rambling but he would always bring me back to my point or ask "so what about.." and I was just so impressed lol
♡ We really would finish each other's sentences or say the same words at the same time from day 1 that we hung out solo.
♡ He didn't judge my past at all
♡ He wanted to introduce me to his family right away
♡ He moved me in with his family 😆
♡ Our first major fight was because i found a picture of his ex in his stuff after i moved in and was all emotional like "do you still love her blah blah blah" (mind you they had history and we were like 5 months in) We were on the rooftop of his parents' beach house, and he took the picture from me and threw it off the roof to the beach/ocean and said something along the lines of "She's in my past and that will never change but you are my future and neither will that. I love YOU." This was kinda thee moment for me but more that solidified it:
♡ We've always had very intense and passionate love making but there was this time in the shower together in the beginning, we didn't have sex at all, just holding each other for like an hour.. caressing, enjoying each other's company, listening to music and watching the ocean (there was a window in the shower) sitting on the floor under the water just entranced by each other. I never felt so vulnerable or desirable by a man before.
♡ He moved with me 8 hours up north to live with my family for a while so I could help my mom with a surgery/aftercare and got a job right away and started helping my family with bills
♡ He witnessed me at my worst mentally while at my parents. He just wanted to help, nothing I did scared him away.
♡ When we moved out of my parents and to his hometown, he believed in me and paid for me to go to nail school.
♡ After we had our daughter, I saw him be the most gentle and loving and attentive parent. He has been the most amazing dad from day 1. A lot of men don't help by changing diapers, cleaning the house, pampering their partner, providing financially etc.
♡ Seeing him accept and love our autistic son wholeheartedly. Learning him and his interests, becoming his favorite person in the world. He buys him alllll the things you could think of that might help him grow or stim
♡ One time we watched the matrix together and realized that the time Neo's alarm clock told him to "wake up" was our original anniversary date 9:18 (He's the "one" get it lol)
♡ we've been through so many (like once a year lol) arguments/disagreements but each one we seem to come out the other end stronger and more in love than ever
♡ he's been the sole provider for 14/15 years we've been together. Allowing and supporting me to pursue all of my interests from nails to writing to being a full time mother to baking to content making. And I know whenever I move on to something new he will be there to cheer me on, give me ideas, and buy me all the materials I need 🤭
♡ I have so much fun with him, I find comfort in him. Nobody makes me laugh harder or feel more understood.
♡ He's just a good man!!!! 🥰
