brocedes + “what am i supposed to do with this?”

“What am I supposed to do with this?” Lewis gestures, throwing his arms out wide, “what, you just tell me that you’re quitting, and thats it?”

“That’s it.”

Nico rubs at his eyes, pinches the bridge of his nose. He feels like he hasn’t gotten a full nights sleep in months— and yet knows he has, has plotted it down to the minute, the second. 

“But—“ Lewis sounds confused, helpless. Nico thinks faintly, that he hadn’t expected this much of a reaction, “—but you just won.”

“Yes,” Nico slips his hands into his pockets and slides his eyes away from Lewis’— feels flayed raw under his searching gaze, “I won.” 

His mind scrambled for a believable excuse. Maybe he was taking stock? Maybe he was cleaning up the galley? Maybe he was just too absorbed in a book and lost track of time. Whatever it was, it couldn’t be sleeping in.

Sonic tried his best to minimize the sound of sheets rustling as he creeped out of bed. But as he turned around with all the care he could muster, he stopped in immediate horror. Shadow was standing in the doorway looking right at him.

Immediately, he burst out in apologizes. He knows how much Captain Shadow valued punctuality. “I’m sorry, captain! I was just making my bed! I wasn’t-”

Shadow put up his hand to silence him. “I let you sleep in.”

“What?”

The captain only shrugged. “I let you sleep in; you worked hard so you deserve a break.”

“Oh.” Sonic didn’t know how to process that. It was almost hard to believe. He supposed he was newer to the ship, maybe he didn’t fully understand his captain. “Thank you, Captain Shadow.”

“Hmph.” His curt response told Sonic he was done with the generosity. He turned on his heel, leaving with a “get out of here already. Go board and sweep the quarter-deck.”

Though it was short-lived, it was nice to see the small crack in the facade. Sonic started his day with a bit more energy than usual.

i imagine she's very good in pale :) she's great at making u remember self care and making sure u stay away from self destructive stuff. however she is not really the person to go to for advice, as she can be impulsive herself so what she thinks is a good choice might not be.

in pitch,

girl she does not have a mean bone in her body i dont think its something she'd ever pursue... maybe as a future thing idk. for now if she ever did have a pitch relationship it would be very playful and soft and probably more like a loving rivalry than anything. someone she wants to be better than in her music career, maybe?
