I watched The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle last night. I think that decision may have saved me from having a truly awful night.
I just really loved them so much.

I tried to remember the precise ending of the Dracula novel. All I got was a mental montage of Peter Cushing.
Curse you Hammer Studios! Your horror movies have rotted my brain!
When I was asked yesterday morning if I knew someone named “Rachel Griffin” all my sleep-addled brain could come up with was, “That name sounds familiar. . .”
“It looks like it's a card.”
When I opened up the brown craft paper envelope, I started internally screaming in excitement.
It was not a card. It was the print that I had given up on ever receiving: the print of @ekbelsher promotional art for the book “Bring Me Your Midnight” by Rachel Griffin.
In a misunderstanding of my own making, I had pre-ordered the book in order to get the print, only to miss the deadline to fill out the form with my receipt information by a few hours.
It's so much more beautiful in reality than the online image! The timing is pretty incredible too: not only was it Saint Nicholas Day, but I'm moving next week. I'll have fresh, empty walls in my new bedroom in which to find the best place to hang it alongside my other art! I even got a “I helped restore a kelp forest” sticker!
Thank you @ekbelsher ! Thank you Rachel Griffin!
Here's a really terrible picture of my unexpected gift:
(The picture didn't look anything like reality so I tried to mess with the brightness, contrast, hue, etc. to at least make the sticker readable. It still doesn't look right. I don’t think I should have used the top of a laptop as a background and the nearby lamp probably messed with the camera's light meter. Live and learn I suppose.)
No, I shouldn't be at the club. But I'd gladly watch more of the Fifteenth Doctor dancing in the club wearing a kilt and a tank top. I'd like an extended scene of that.
I have never shared in the group Tumblr angst that is an AO3 being down, but I didn’t know ahead of time in this instance . . . and I accidentally closed out my tab while I was in the middle of a fic . . . and the characters were literally just about to do *stuff* and . . . and . . .

Turns out that I felt really unwell (literal) today so I wouldn't have been able to watch the BAFTAs even if I had access to a livestream.
I have looked at some of the pictures and I am not feeling normal about David Tennant and his actions right now. There will be reblogs, but not right now because I need to take care of my health at the moment. (But I do need these pictures, gifs, and videos to live on my Tumblr and not just my dash!)
Update on the status of my Tumblr for those who have been following along: Tumblr dot com appears to have stopped randomly reblogging things that I have in my queue/drafts!
Status: Cannot Life™ Today.
Tomorrow's Forecast: Similar Outlook.
So according to Tumblr I have over 500 posts scheduled, but if I click on my queue it tells me I have 0 posts scheduled.
Am I being punished for my joy over the end of Tumblr Live?
Please let them be temporarily (and not permanently) lost to the aether. . .
