Visual Research and Discussion
We have been looking at different styles of type that evoke a sense of change, in particular distortion. Carrying on from our previous ideas about plant anatomy and using elements of succulents within our typeface, we have began down a more abstract path, playing with form and shape rather than literal representations. This has less to do with the theme of plant anatomy but ties in with the idea of change. We hope that the final physical form of the typeface will echo plant anatomy.

Getting Started - Exploration
We decided to get started by exploring our natural surroundings at a local park. We observed the trees and plants that we came across and discussed ideas of how we could use elements of them in our typeface. Even though the park we visited was quite bare and minimal on the variety of different plntas, there were many different bits and pieces we were able to draw inspiration from. There included rocks, sticks, trees, grass, weeds and cacti. Below are some photos of our findings:
