Send me your favorite protective styles, pleeeeeease. I've got mid-back length type 4a hair. I'm so sick of my two hair styles lol
Nothing new. Just type 4 hair slayin’ and stuntin.
This is my natural curl pattern after I cleanse my hair or whenever I fully wet my hair.
the other day.. I felt like looking like a detective.(lol)... Tried to put on my newsboy cap on under my thick stretched fro. This is the result. ...not too shabby, if I dare say so.

A Note to Those Going Natural From Flat Irons
It takes ALOT of patience to get used to your natural hair. Surprisingly, it also takes alot of time for your hair to get used to being natural. When I stopped flat ironing my hair it was so confused ! I kept going back and forth between flat irons and my natural hair, my hair didn't know what to do. The following pictures were from my freshman/junior year of College when I first decided to try to wear my hair natural (with the intention to let it grow)
I wasn't taking care of my hair AT ALL. Grease and Gel. Yanking it out with wide-tooth combs. Harsh Shampoos. I'd go FOREVER without combing it. I looked a hot mess. So though at the time I wore it with a bit of pride, I like taking care of my hair and LOVING how it is naturally. Now, it's starting to flourish. Of course, in baby steps [:
So far I've been natural and taking care of my hair for 4 months and it has been a rough journey. I'm still learning how to manage it but I'm not giving up. I don't have many pictures with my color but I'll keep you guys updated !
ANYWAY !! This post was to just be encouraging to those who decided to no longer use heat on their hair to embrace their texture. I've made many attempts in the past trust me and I only hid my hair in buns and ponytails because I hated it out.
Don't give up ladies !! It's a long journey but it's worth it [:
Kinky Curly Curling Custard
So I tried the natural approved Kinky Curly Curling Custard and to be completely honest .. I didn't like the results at all. I guess I've truly turned into a wild hair loving individual since I started taking batter care of my hair.
I don't really like the way it feels on my strands and though my coils ARE defined, my hair looks stiff.
I realized though I'm not a big leave in conditioner type of natural either .. just give me a good rinse out and some oil and I'm ready to go. I just need to find the proper amount of oil to use :x ahaha
To make-up for the loss of money on my Kinky Curly. I now use it as gel .. It's amazing [:
