As promised: GRAYCEE!! I'm unsure of her age but she was once a feral street cat. She and her siblings were terrified of any form of human contact. A sweet woman in the neighborhood would feed them but even she couldn't pet any of the kittens if she wanted to. My mother somehow managed to catch Graycee and took her into her home and cared for her for two years. The first year, Graycee was PETRIFIED! She would only come out of hiding to eat and spent a majority of her time underneath the bed where she felt the safest. It took her an entire year to begin to come around (to me atleast). According to my mother within the first 6 months she was able to spot Graycee roaming around. Before my mothers passing, Graycee was a fully functioning cat. Enjoying tummy rubs and accepting treats from those she didn't know. She was very eager to receive affection. After my mother passed away I knew that I should be the one to take Graycee in because she had made so much progress and I didn't want her to revert back to being afraid with a brand new family. I'm very happy to report that it did take Graycee a week to finally begin exploring my apartment but as you can see; she's more than comfortable relaxing on my bed.
Prepare yourselves to see more of this guy. This is my 1.5 yr old pit that I appropriately named 'Shake'. I got Shake from a young boy who couldn't care for him and the rest is history. Shake already knew how to give 'Paw' and being only 6 months old and not knowing his former name, I saw it as an opportunity to give him a name that was more fitting and less intimidating ( I won't tell you his old name -__-).
Caring for animals has always been a huge passion of mine and I've always had an array of pets. In addition to Shake, I inherited my mothers once feral cat named Graycee (I'll post pics and videos of her soon). I've volunteered with animal care organizations, attended adoption drives and I'm always looking for more opportunities to assist in finding pets their forever home.
I hope you'll join me as I chronicle my experiences with finding amazing animals their forever homes in addition to sharing my experiences with my own Shake and Graycee.
Jabbawockeez Prism promo video at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas
Jabbawockeez Prism Show at the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel
Amaze Balls!!! I've been a Jabbawockeez fan since first seeing them on the first season of America's Best Dance Crew! My first trip to Vegas three years ago, I found out they had a residency at the Monte Carlo but I wasn't able to catch one of those shows. Three years later, I returned to Vegas only to find that they have a new show titled Prism that they're performing at the Luxor hotel. Just seeing the promo ads with each Jabbawockeez member featured in a lively, vibrant color found in the rainbow spectrum (ROYGBIV-Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet) gave me hope that the show wouldn't be anything less than spectacular. They definitely did not disappoint! The show had far more than I expected. It was very theatrical and very humorous. The Jabbawockeez incorporated members of the audience, they got everyone dancing and they were very humorous. Their dancing told a story that kept everyone engaged for the entire show. The dancing didn't disappoint but there were two mishaps with whom I believe were the backup dancers. The first one was the opening of the performance. The dancers seemed a bit lazy with the opener. I don't know if it was done purposely so you could tell the back-up dancers apart from the real deal (all dancers were masked). The other hiccup was when one of the dancers didn't properly land one of the moves. When the Jabbawockeez finally did emerge you could ABSOLUTELY tell they were the real deal from the intricate movements as opposed to those of the opening dancers. Overall however, the dancing was what I expected: clean, precise, fresh and at the same unlike any other group of dancers I've seen before. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record any of the performance or take any photos during the show. The Jabbawockeez personally threatened to sue if anyone did (in a nice way ofcourse; through mime). I was able to however, record the promo video that plays outside of the theater and throughout the hotel (it's short but I'll post). I highly recommend this show to anyone who's looking for something exciting to do on their next Vegas trip. Or, if you genuinely love the Jabbawockeez as much as I do. If you can't make the show, you can always purchase paraphernalia such as masks or shirts at their 'Wock Shop' conveniently located right outside of the theater. You can also purchase cute named alcoholic beverages at the 'Jab-bar'. Thanks for Stopping By!

My latest completed crochet project in the double crochet stitch: A super huge scarf. I love when a scarf is thick enough to keep the cold out.
I can never complete a crochet project without getting 30 lines ahead and realizing the number of stitches in each line slowly decreasing!
Hi! I’ve noticed that when this happens it’s because I’m not counting stitches. Count how many you start with and keep a running tally,...
Thanks SOOOOO Much! I also decided to use the extended-single crochet stitch and that's helped significantly in keeping a tally of my stitches. Again, thanks so much!
