Big shout to my man @ty_macklin_aka_xl7! A couple of years ago, I called him up and told him I had an idea for a song, I sent him a demo of it (to a click) and he returned it to me with sick drums. After I finished fleshing it out, that song took beautiful form...and "Sometimes A Rose Will Grow In Concrete" was born. Ty Macklin went on to do drum programming for "Camelot", "We Were Never Free", and "Closer Than You Know" and he helped bring the vision I had for my latest album to life! Thank you Ty for all that you do! You're not only a dope musician, you're an all-around super dope BEING. Love you to life! We've made so much dope shit together. Let's do more, shall we? #TyMacklin #SRWGC #SySmith #FlyAwayWithMe #BSideLoveAffair #LoFiMusicFest (Photo: @ddc0509) (at CAFE 4212) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqNVg_NlE6D/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=r7aw2izk8d8j
