You know, I think it'd be really funny if Grevious and Dooku were accidentally a little too good at their jobs and managed to capture Palpatine and then commed Sidious like 'hey master we did it' and continually got more and more annoyed at him not picking up and eventually deciding that he must have ditched off to Scarif or something and it turned into a Grevious-and-Dooku-and-a-frustrated-dragged-along-Sheev road trip across the galaxy to find Sidious who is of course actually with them but can't say anything. Meanwhile this all takes place during the Orders arc but without Palpatine to stop him, Fives figures out the chip thing and since Palpatine being gone clears Fox's force-suggestion screwed-up brain, Fox realizes what's been going on, teams up with Fives instead of killing him and then they go explain to Anakin and Obi-Wan that Palpatine being gone is somehow really affecting the Home Guard positively and also explain the chip situation and The Team puts two and two together and basically goes 'ok the seps can sort this one out. They can keep him' and promptly tell the jedi council that no they will not be heading up the search for the chancellor because the chancellor is in fact the sith Lord himself and he can deal with the weird comedy holo plot he got dragged into and when he's done being dragged around the galaxy by his own underlings in search of himself, the council can arrest him. Eventually, Grevious figures out what’s going on but doesn’t care. Dooku has sort of known from the start and figured it out as soon as Sidious wouldn’t pick up his comm, but he has no fondness for his master and has been doing all this specifically to irritate him.Â
