does anyone else looooooove that alcohol in the wound sting? my tire completely shredded (?!) on the highway omw home from work so i had to change it on the side of the road and managed to rip some skin off my finger in the process (nothing major). i’m home now and just holding an alcohol swab to the skin flap because it stings so good

if we are talking about back stories: how did oz’s friend group all meet? what were they like when they were younger?

well well well i’m glad you asked because thinking about oz’s childhood in the first place is what got me curious about others’ ocs…!
as for how they met:Â
oz & dave met at a casino, klaus & manny met at a bar, dave & manny were in a bowling group together and hit it off :P and so all four of them got together and bonded over their love of card games.
growing up:
oz went on the bullied -> bully pipeline. he suffered a looot of ridicule from his peers until he grew 6+ feet tall and started hitting the gym. got into a lot of fights, suffered a lot of mental health issues. he met noshin in adulthood because their parents knew each other. it was basically an arranged marriage, which he was fine with.
oz did not get along with his parents at all, though he attributes this less to the way they would beat him and more to the way they never emotionally supported him in anything. he always thought his dad was an asshole and never really understood his mom. some of his family history is expanded on in seen a ghost ii.
klaus was a bully for the LOVE OF THE GAME! his dad died before he was born (in vietnam) so he only grew up with one parent. had a lot of flings & girlfriends which he treated like shit until his mother told him to knock it off. she was a hardass but he loved her until she died.
manny had a pretty happy childhood. has a big family, which he gets along with, and spent a lot of his life going back and forth between the US and mexico. went into his father’s roofing business.
dave was kind of a nobody. his parents pushed him to do well in school, so he did, and that was that. he respects them a lot. met grace in high school and fell in love. they dated while he went to university and she went to culinary school.
grace has always been highly motivated and knew from a young age that she wanted to become a chef, much to the disappointment of her parents. she does not have a good relationship with them, but would hesitate to call them abusive. has never done anything to sonny that she hasn’t experienced herself.

i named klaus after the fish from american dad
i was sitting in a chair while she explained the procedure to me. she said “first i’ll have you sit up…” and for some reason i interpreted this as a command for me to straighten up in that moment, because i was sitting kind of slouched with my elbow on the arm on the chair as i listened. immediately i started fixing my posture before i realized half a second later that this was not necessary at all. she laughed at me and said “good! you’re compliant already!”Â
touch typing and piano playing are similar in the sense that if i miss a few too many keys my flow is gone and my fingers need to recalibrate. the automatic muscle-memory calculations of how far they need to move between each key are, say, one centimeter off from the intended point of contact and a perfectly coherent sentence or euphonious piece quickly dissolves into discordance.
this is to say sometimes i write with my eyes closed to allow the words to flow unhindered but i think this might be a bad idea. i'm looking at the document i wrote last night and did not proofread. what does this mean
