Suspicious- Nope, but I do have “suspicions”!
“Why care about me at all, Luken?” I cannot help but be wary. There is too much at risk. As I watch him, I see different emotions cross his face, namely confusion. He is as drawn to me as I am to him, with seemingly no way to explain it. I have my suspicions and I am very sorry for him if I am right. I try to keep my face as blank as possible but I do not think I have completely succeeded.

I’m pretty sure that the room isn’t soundproofed and, even if it was, I’m not sure that would stop it from hearing us. “Should we say something?” tumbles out of my mouth before I’m consciously aware of it. I turn to them both expecting Zak to slap the back of my head and Kaiden to tell me that I’m a moronic manic not the tense silence that falls over us.

Before she’s gone, I call out, “Tonight?”
Her “Of course!” floats over to me as she makes her way out of the door.
“Naturally,” Kaiden mumbles under his breath. He’s going with us and he knows it. He would never willingly miss an adventure after all.

Day 2: Which Disney princess is most like my main character? * For Erion, I chose Ariel. He has a fascination with humanity and he is deeply curious about their world. Unfortunately, that curiosity will get him in trouble. It’s not so much that he wants to be human (he knows that’s not possible) but he wants to understand them, especially the only one who has been kind to him. * For Luken, I chose Belle. He’s strong, independent, and not unprepared to fight for what he wants. His core beliefs have been shaken and he finds himself caring about the very creature he should hate. Day 16: What inspired your WIP? * The War is an accumulation of dreams that have lasted a decade. The early stories that later became The War were usually inspired from other works. There are tiny remnants of those old drafts (so to speak) remaining but they’re few and far between. * It all started with wings. Originally, they were bat-like wings but wings all the same. Essentially, the Slyveshi creature was built before the story existed. The creature turned into people. These people gained lives. These lives became a story. It’s been a rough week so sorry this is so late!
I feel like my MC’s would glare at me for answering this and then maniacally gesture to their current situation. Things aren’t really great for anyone right now. There’s constant war, some torture, corrupt (?) government, etc. Things could totally get worse but uh…yeah…
But, Luken would answer that the only fresh hell left would be the complete destruction of all things sweet…specifically cake.
