Awareness Campaign
We conducted our awareness campaign within two particular mediums.
a)Â Â Â Â Â Within the school
b)Â Â Â Â Â Outside the school premises.
Our object for point a, was to follow up with the campaign that we had started earlier online as the majority of the responses that we had received on our pages on the social networking pages were from our peers at school.
Henceforth, we divided this portion of our campaign in 4 further stages.
Stage 1: This involved us personally getting in touch with our classmates regarding our project and getting their opinion on our initiative. It was a minority, who were aware of the concept of vertical farming.
Stage 2: This involved us going to the other classes and corresponding with the students who were keen on knowing further about our activities and it was as per their requests that we had instigated this stage of our campaign as they wanted to meet us personally regarding this. Â Majority of them were quite aware of this concept and gave us ideas on what we can try to do differently or new things we could possibly add to our project. This was quite a fruitful turn of events.
Stage 3: This is the segment where we began to place our poster across the school campus upon gaining permission from the student council and the senior management of the school.
Stage 4: This involved us interacting with the senior management of the school and teachers and getting their feedback on our project. Most of them really liked the idea and wished us well with our progress.
Conclusion: Since our classmates were the least aware of all amongst all the groups we went, we decided to create a presentation on the topic and showcase it to them during our final week of the project.
Our objective for point b was to cope with our field study segment that had been left out. Hence we went to a few malls to spread awareness of the concept of vertical farming. The outcome was quite fruitful as many of the people gave us positive feedback on our initiative.
