It doesn’t matter what accent you have. Feel free to audition for any role you’re interested in! And if you want to, you can add a note about your accent when you submit your audition, but it’s not necessary.

Since this is a small production, I’m going to say no, it’s not a problem. People of any gender can audition for any role they’re interested in.

Short explanation: each group starts off in a different location.

Slightly longer explanation: We thought it would be interesting to explore a few different scenarios that could play out during the zombie apocalypse. It’s also easier for us to categorize everything by group, since it puts a little less pressure on us b/c we feel like everything is easier to handle when split up into smaller groups. 11 characters all together in one place can be a bit convoluted and overwhelming.

Great question. I’ve been thinking about it and, honestly, I think it’s just whenever we feel we have enough auditions to make this happen we’ll announce a date to make sure anyone else can get theirs in.

As for callbacks, we’ve already asked a couple people to read for other roles. So far the auditions have been stellar and shown us what we need to see. The only reason we’d ask for additional readings would be to see if you fit another character.

This is honestly so bewildering to me because I don’t understand what it is about our project in particular that compels you to be so rude & condescending. Honestly, do you go around to random people who write books and say “lol your OCs are gonna be published by some shitty publisher? Good luck.”

Also, I really do not see what is so awful l about the situation you just described. Apart from your condescending tone, anyways. In essence, you’re making fun of us because:

1) we started an original project that was intended to be a fun way for us to try a different medium of storytelling.

2) There are people who want to be a part of our original project primarily because they find it interesting

3) We have a story that involves many queer characters.

I’ve put a lot of effort into making my characters complex and fleshed-out. I suppose finding characters boring is just a matter of preference, but we’ve been getting auditions so there seem to be at least a few people who would disagree. Personally, I like creating diverse characters; its part of what makes the process interesting for me. By extension, I like writing diverse queer characters because I would like to see more queer representation in media, and I know there’s bound to be people out there who would like to see the same thing.

I don’t see how any of these are a bad thing. “lol people voluntarily want to be a part of an original project you’re working hard on simply because they find it interesting? good luck”… Burn? It’s not an insult, why waste your time?
