psa: writing books is hard but also fun • • • I’ve managed to get a tiny bit of work done on #thetidesoffate this long weekend. It’s so hard finding the time and motivation to write when your summer schedule is as chaotic as mine. But I’ve come to learn that writing isn’t just typing up script on the page. Daydreaming is a key part of developing your story further. Imagining what will happen to your characters next is another way you can keep working on your project when you don’t have the time to physically sit down and write. It makes those longer writing sessions you will face when you do have the time much easier! It also keeps you motivated to keep working on your project, to keep pushing forward, and to find new avenues for the parts of your story that aren’t working. I’ve finally started edits on the second half of The Tides of Fate!! I’ve been working on this sequel for about 7 years now which is absolutely crazy to think about. Even crazier is to think that I’m seriously on my way to finishing it. So far, I can say that this book is the best thing I’ve ever written. It’s my baby. My pride and joy.
