Twitter DM ще бъде по-сигурен с поддръжка за криптиране от край до край

As everyone is spending more time scrolling down the various social networking platforms, companies are doubling their efforts to make sure their apps are being very user-friendly. In addition to this, Twitter has realized a noticeable rise in the usage of Direct Messages because public posting is slowly diminishing. Based on this change in behavior, the company has decided to go one step further and start testing a new DM window. This feature started to be available for few users to test it, since April 2020, as shared by the reverse engineering expert at Twitter, Jane Manchun Wong.

As shown in the picture above, the new feature shows a new bottom-right small window chat, similar to Facebook Messenger. The new messaging display is convenient for users, as they can chat with someone while scrolling down their tweet feeds and can also close the tab when the chat ends. In addition, users have the ability to deactivate the option if they don’t feel like having it. 

Many clients having Twitter accounts like Body Masters or Nova Waters can benefit from this new feature in terms of increasing the engagement. If users found that the new DM window is easy to use, they would interact more with the brand, asking for all the information they might need.

However, as every update, the new DM window, received a lot of complaints from dedicated Facebook Messenger users, claiming that Twitter has replicated their design. On the other side, Twitter users loved the idea as it will help them in the content sharing; people could see a nice tweet and can directly send it to a friend through the sub-window.

Twitter has not yet specified the date for the official roll-out of the new DM chat window, but we will share with you all updates once released.
