I'm newer to the Fandom and just wondering what your thoughts are now since the infamous tweet? Obviously the fans are divided. I'm disappointed truthfully but in all honesty I haven't been around long enough to see the pattern with louis and if this is the pattern. I of course question if he even wrote it himself or even meant it how it's being taken. I guess to my question: he has been quiet now . Almost MIA..he has some shows coming up..do you predict with the backlash he will still do his usual set list including 7 and changing of lyrics from "it" to "him"..or do you think we are going to see a whole different louis here? I see he's being accused of playing both sides of the Fandom just to keep everybody on the hook..seems rather cruel to say about him..but again I'm newer. Anyway just wanted your thoughts. Thanks again for always listening and being the voice of reason. I adore your blog.
Hi sugar. To be very honest, I canāt for the life of me figure out why that tweet was posted. I donāt get the timing. I donāt get the purpose.
I donāt think he actually wrote it because it doesnāt really sound like him. But, the way I see things, heās still the boss and his team follows his directives. I know some people think heās being forced to post things like that, but I donāt get who would be forcing him.
In the distant past, Louis and Harry used to get punished for stepping out of line (Eleanor would be flown in, Harry would be flown out, āLouisā would tweet something shitty, etc). In the less distant past, Harry and Louis would do things that felt like warnings that something shitty was coming down the pike (like, every time Louis wore skulls, a few days later weād get some crappy stunt like Eleanor coming back or some babygate nonsense. Harry did a lot of lyric tweets and a lot of cryptic IG posts back in the day. There were a number of different patterns that happened back then that made it feel like we needed to brace for drama).
Iāve seen that some people think the Larry reel like and the t-shirt were a warning. But I havenāt seen a pattern of that happening in a long time, so I really donāt know. And, again, why would Louis post something that was bound to blow up his fandom right before AFHF tickets were supposed to go on sale?
And he had to know thatās what was going to happen, because the last time he made that stupid Chicken Parmesan tweet, the same thing happened and so many people sold their concert tickets or refused to go to his shows.
So⦠Iām just confused by the behavior. None of it makes sense and weāre obviously missing big chunks of information. Yes, heās closeted and denials are survival. But the aggressive stance on larries is frustrating. He has every right to say he wants people to stop talking about his son/relationship/mom etc. But he also knows how toxic and frankly, scary, many of his fans are. The same request could have been made without whipping those people into a frenzy.
I think he (and Harry) play both sides of the fandom. But this is rather extreme (in both directions. Many solos were really angry about the Larry like, the compliments about Harry during SoccerAid, and his criticism of their opinions on him playing 1D songs). Equal opportunity anger doesnāt make a whole lot of sense to me.
I know this really isnāt an answer, but I canāt figure out what heās doing. If he does play 7 and sing āI love himā (which heās been doing for ages, anyway), itās still not going to provide us with any answers.
