Appearance:

Nadiyya has long bright red hair loosely tied back by a large white bow. Her eyes are the color of the deepest waters. She has a darker complexion with flecks of blue scales peppering her face and down her neck, scattered around her entire body. In her mermaid form, Nadiyya’s skin takes on a blue tinge and her ears become more finlike. Her tail is the longest part of her body, ribbon-shaped with a narrow red dorsal fin down the length of her tail.

Nadiyya wears an altered version of the Night Raven Academy female uniform with a black blazer over the blueish-gray, gold-lined vest, a longer skirt, and the black and white striped tie. She had the Octavinelle emblem turned into a pin attached to her blazer while the ribbon is wrapped around her wrist like a bracelet. Like the rest of the Octavinelle students, Nadiyya wears the standard suit coupled with a matching pencil skirt. The dorm scarf is instead wrapped around her head with the fedora’s shell attached to it. She wears plain black flats.

Personality:

Nadiyya is a very introverted individual, shy and self-conscious…at least while on land. Because of how physically different her human and mermaid forms are, she has developed an awkwardness with her secondary form. Conversely, in her mermaid form–her natural body–Nadiyya has much more confidence and a more outgoing and extroverted personality. So, truly an ambivert.

Background:

As a young merfolk, Nadiyya grew up in the depths off of the coast of Scalding Sands, spending time both in the sea and on the land. At a young age, she discovered her Unique Magic while playing around with smooth shells. She had always wanted to explore the world above the waves. Her parents–both merfolk as well–encouraged her to venture around. So, once her admission letter to Night Raven College arrived, she went on to bigger and better things.

Abilities and Unique Magic:

Her species of merfolk has the innate ability to shift between mer and human forms at will.

Nadiyya’s Unique Magic is called “Porthole”. She is able to create a communication method with her magic. The efficacy of her spell changes depending on location. While in the water, it is at its strongest–able to use it whenever and with the clearest connection. On the land, she requires a smooth surface to provide a medium for her spell.

Appearance: 

Missy is a very short girl with lavender hair chopped into a messy bob at chin length. Her bangs fall over the sides of her face, framing it. Missy’s bangs cover more of her face on the right. She has bright green eyes that twinkle whenever chaos is afoot. Missy wears the standard Night Raven Academy female uniform consisting of the black blazer over her green, gold-lined vest, short skirt with white knee-high socks, a black and white striped bowtie, and black sneakers. Her Diasomnia armband is wrapped around her arm several times to keep it from slipping off. Lilia definitely had his way with helping the previous gremlin decide how to wear her dormitory uniform. Her stylized outfit consists of a white dress shirt with a black necktie, the black belted-corset over her shirt, and her school uniform skirt. The spools of thread attached to her belt are usually always empty as she uses it to sew clothes. As her dorm coat was much too big for her, Missy altered it to match her better. However, she wears it over her right shoulder, letting it fall behind her. She wears grey leggings under her Diasomnia boots.

Personality:

On the surface, Missy is a chaos-loving gremlin. Her absolute favorite thing to do is pranking people but never with malicious intent, only harmless pranks…that may unintentionally cause pain. Sorry, Jamil and Rene. She is chaos incarnated into a fun-sized package. However, she is also really a sweet and caring girl. Only those who she is close to have seen both her chaotic side and her softhearted side. Because of her childhood, connections and bonds that she makes are very important to her; her lifelong friendship with Epel being the most important one. Towards people that Missy has a bond with, she is very trusting and loyal, albeit a bit clingy. Additionally, she is worst when it comes to academics but is best at doing magic instead of learning about it: the zero-braincelled gremlin part of her.

Background:  Missy did not have the best relationship with her parents growing up. Because of her bloodline, which was full of powerful mages, her parents, Yvette and Laurence, expected a lot out of her magical abilities. Upon reaching the age of which young children begin to exhibit the capability to use magic, Missy was unable to cast a spell. This disgraceful display of incompetence was the turning point in the family’s relationship. At the age of five, she began to use magic, and despite how much she tried to make her parents notice her, it was much too late to fix what had been done. Soon after her ability to cast magic surfaced, Missy’s Unique Magic made itself known as well. Far from their family’s place of origin, Missy resided in the mountainous woods a little ways from Harveston proper. After many failed attempts at getting her parents to recognize her magical abilities, she began to stray farther and farther away from her house, coming to the outskirts of the village of Harveston. During one of her strolls through the woods, the little girl met a little boy, Epel Felmier. The two of them became fast friends, the chaotic and feral terrors of Harveston. Missy, alongside Epel, was accepted to attend and enroll into the prestigious Night Raven College and assigned into the dorm of the Thorn Fairy, Diasomnia.

Abilities and Unique Magic: 

Because of her lineage of strong and powerful mages, Missy has large magic reserves which allows her to use magic without the worry of accumulating excess amounts of blot and can use strong spells for her age.

Missy’s Unique Magic is called “Transform Me”. Her spell allows her to change her appearance while requiring little amounts of magic. Depending on how much of her appearance she wants to change, determines the amount of magic her Unique Magic utilizes. Minor alterations such as changing hair color, hair length, or eye color (minor alterations mainly concern changes to color) use little magic and can be subconsciously maintained for a long time. Major changes such as adding appendages or changing height use a moderate amount of magic with some conscious thought of maintenance. Full body transformations require the most amount of magic and complete concentration.

Incantation: "I am the greatest, and I'll make the rules. Zim zabberim bim, Transform Me." (Only said when doing a complete transformation.)

Appearance:

Bouquette has rose pink, long hair tied neatly into a large rose bun. Her hair is pulled back so as to not cover her face, save for a single curled strand on the left side of her face. She has chartreuse green eyes. Bouquette dons the standard Night Raven Academy female uniform consisting of a black blazer over the red, gold-lined vest, short skirt with black stockings, and black and white striped tie. She wears the Heartslabyul armband with pride. As a respectable resident of Heartslabyul, her Heartslabyul dormitory uniform includes the standard black, red, and white overcoat, white, pleated skirt with yellow hemming, the yellow and black sash tied around her waist, and black stockings. Clipped on her lapel, instead of the standard painted rose, Bouquette wears a boutonniere with a tiny flower arrangement. Both of her school outfits are worn with her pair of black, heeled Mary Janes.

Personality:

Bouquette is a very bubbly and excitable girl–wanting to please everyone–with many passions. She is always seen bustling around the campus of Night Raven College albeit for classes, electives, or any errand that the Housewarden asked of her. She spends much of her time busying herself with work. A very diligent person yet unwise. Her constant commitment to work leaves her little time to relax–to breathe–causing to overstress herself very often. During those rare moments when she allows herself to relax, Bouquette enjoys indulging on Trey’s pastries, hitting up cafes with Cater, or enjoying tea time with Riddle. Whenever she is in her fits of stress, Bouquette accumulates blot quickly which is worrisome for the other residents of Heartslabyul.

Background: Growing up, Bouquette had always been surrounded by blooming blossoms. Her parents are the shopkeepers of the local florist, The Queen’s Bouquet. The Queen’s Bouquet has been in her family for many generations. She grew up learning the vast knowledge of florae, focusing mainly on flowers.As a child, her parents expected much out of her. Because of her parents’ ambition for their daughter to succeed in everything, Bouquette was taught violin at a young age by a world-class musician. She excelled in her classes. After a while of taking only violin lessons, she was signed up for ballroom dancing–the dance of nobility–and ballet concurrently with violin. Bouquette continued to excel in everything she did. But, after some time, the stress of doing everything began to take its silent toll. Once the daughter of the de Rosarios was old enough, her talents were recognized, and she was promptly whisked away to Night Raven College. There, she was assigned to Heartslabyul. In her first week, one of her classmates rose to the position of Housewarden. Bouquette signed up for the Light Music Club, the Science Club, and founded the Dance Club in her first year.

Abilities and Unique Magic:

From her lifelong education of gardening, Bouquette is very adept at caring for and tending to plants, often looked to for advice by most in the Science Club.

Bouquette’s Unique Magic is called “All in the Golden Afternoon”. Her spell, aided by her knowledge of plant life, allows her to control plants, being able to affect the speed in which a plant grows, blooms, and physical appearance. As of right now, she is only able to affect one plant at a time, but the effect is permanent. “All in the Golden Afternoon” is most effective on flowers. A weaker application of her magic is that she can materialise petals out of thin air. Due to how simple her magic is, Bouquette runs the additional risk of developing blot faster than most.

Incantation: “All the flowers have very extra special powers. May everybody chime in tune. You can learn a lot of things from the flowers. All in the Golden Afternoon.”
