I suppose this will be short but I wanted to talk a little about Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii. 

I know there is an anime of this manga but I still feel that this series is so under appreciated! The art in the series is nothing too special and is often downright derpy (but then again Dengeki Daisy was too but that was soo good!) but the story is something else!

I mean, lets list a few of the finer points of SSU:

You have a strange reverse age gap (Livi is 12 [currently 13] and Nike is probably 18 or 19)

even creepier is the relationship between Livi’s childhood friend Luna and who she is presently engaged to. 

This sereis deals with a TON of taboos.

There is give and take to the relationship on both sides Nike and Livi 

(This is a spoiler so I’m putting it  below the cut)

The story, while a fantasy, deals with a lot of actual ruler duties that many other mangas with rulers don’t touch on at all

such as paperwork, rebellions within the kingdom, consequences of brutality, water rights, and poisonings of rulers.

The plot line is EXTREMELY complex (actually to the point where a lot of the translations I've read had to go and find someone who knew how to explain some of the technicalities of the plot and some of the old Japanese that is frequently used)

They don’t dance around the fact that their dealing with children.

The idea of teenagers who can do anything is frequently present in fantasy mangas (such as Nanami in Kamisama Hajimemashita [how is she even still alive**?])

If your looking for a manga with POCs this is it. I mean they have Black, Middle Eastern, Albinos, Asian, European, and probably more as well.

While I suppose this is a manga for people with a VERY specific taste but I've never had an issue with the manga ad is to date one of my most looked forward to mangas I read.
