Hi, i saw your post and you mention "The stolen turtle designs", i tried to to search about it but didn't find anything, could you tell me more about it or where to find more info?
Basically there was a really popular fan fiction with accompanying fan art around 2016 iirc about Nino getting the turtle miraculous and becoming Jade Turtle. The crew even confirmed knowing about it in a con. Then spoilers came out about revealing Carapace’s design which was almost identical to the fic’s accompanying art and that Fu’s superhero name is Jade Turtle. A lot of people noticed the similarities and shit hit the fan.
Anyway, the ML crew never admitted to drawing any inspiration from the fan’s works and the fan got a lot of bs from from fandom for daring to point out how suspicious the whole thing was. Last I heard, the artist wanted to move on from the whole thing so in hopes of respecting their wishes, I will not be naming them to avoid having people bring it up to them again.
