Stray is the name of the shiroba/sanejaku fic I've talked about before, its my current primary wip and I've made a deccent amount of progress on it

The AU is set in feudal Japan and takes quite a different direction with the character's backstories, but Koujaku still has his tattoos and Ryuuhou is also similarly involved. Koujaku and Aoba never knew each other as children and by the time they meet Aoba has been overtaken by Desire/Sly for quite some time (but for drastically different reasons than the kouao bad end.) Some things are still being workshopped, but the basic rundown is Koujaku is a ronin that ends up in the care of a priest (Shiroba) who promises to break his curse—or maybe his mind. Maybe both. He's still deciding.
