A man comes up to my register with two six-pack cans of Coors Light. Keep in mind that this is a liquor warehouse and he could have easily bought a twelve-pack of cans. He's also a regular and buys this shit every Saturday morning. Customer: Ring this up as a twelve-pack. Me: ??? I can't do that, they're different price points. Customer: Why the hell not? (By this time I realize he's already drunk.) Me: For one, our inventory will be off. Customer: That's not a problem. Me: [??? Kind of is...] Customer: Get a manager. I'm here all the time. They always do this for me. (False) So I just ring it up as a twelve. Guess what though. It's a 50-cent difference in price. Guy wouldn't let up over half a dollar. You know what half a dollar buys you in 'murica? Nothing. Not even pity for your self-loathing lifestyle and inane stubborness.
