things about stan that are fundamentally true: he is a romantic boy. he is skeptical. these two traits often intersect to create his unique brand of cynical wonder he is introspective but not in the way kyle is! kyle’s introspection usually comes from a moral direction and often devolves into guilt but STAN stan’s introspection tends to be almost? philosophical? it’s less tangible so it’s weirdly sincere which i get. obviously it’s humorous for stan to be sat there having deep #wokesoul moments but it’s really consistent so i think stan just. loves to look into wells and ponder life because he’s a Sensitive Boy.

SO funny i wasn’t even allowed to watch south park so when i watched it i did it on an old ipad 1 (this was 2015 so everyone made fun of me for my giant brick of an ipad) (cause i was poor) and i’d put on these headphones (they were from id say generously 2003) (i was poor) and i’d wait till my mom was asleep and i’d pull up the episode on kisscartoon turn off the ipad and press play and listen to the episode in secret. i worked for this knowledge ok?

when i say tweek and stan view their worlds similarly what i mean is that though they approach their lives very differently on a base level they do have the same foundational understanding of their lives in south park like. okay. to stan it’s not that he doesn’t understand that where he lives things are… Strange it’s just that conveniently stan loves being the center of attention and can often become the protagonist of whatever bullshit is happening that week. he isn’t like. afraid over his circumstances not because to him they aren’t strange but because to stan a lot of what happens is perplexingly? Lame? lmfao? tweek sees and understands things the same way stan does but doesn’t have the desire to be the protagonist in every situation so they don’t feel nearly as glamorous for tweek. tweek and stan also seem to view their parents very similarly. much to think about
