hey man can you shut the door fully? yeah no worries it’s just the cat will get out if it’s not closed and locked and whatever. not run away or anything, she just goes out for a smoke which, like, i can understand how it’s a stress reliever but i think the long term effects outweigh the short term positives, and she mostly agrees with me so i try to keep it shut just for our mutual benefit. one time i forgot to close it and she walked all the way down to the corner store to buy her own pack but didn’t bring ID with her, so i had to run down there in my pjs before she kicked up a storm, and then there was all this drama with not selling me the pack because she couldn’t present ID and they knew it was for her but she apparently got on their asses enough before i got there that they just sold me the pack anyway. yeah it was really annoying and i tried to lecture her about, like, being responsible if she’s going to forget her ID but she wasn’t having it, tho she hasn’t gone back to that specific shop since so i think she understands for the most part. also it’s like 40s out right now + heating is expensive
