How do you think the motel survivors would react if they were to see a half-walker/half-zombie? I took this inspiration from All Of Us Are Dead, where there is a character that did not turn fully into a zombie, with them mentally and emotionally still human while resisting their cravings for human flesh. I think it would be interesting to imagine in a The Walking Dead Game world!
I feel like people like Larry, Lilly, and Kenny would want to just kill them immediately, not trusting them for a second. Others like Lee and Carley would be more willing to give them a chance to prove that they're not a threat, though Lee definitely wouldn't want Clementine around this person for a while until he trusted them. It would be a very tense situation at the motel with them around, a lot of arguments and accusations going back and forth. It would be interesting to see Lilly and Larry on the same side as Kenny for a change, while Lee is against both of them.
You know, it's funny. Whenever I think of season one, I think of Carley, Lilly, Larry, Katjaa, and Duck as major characters, while I consider Christa and Omid to be a little more minor. People who come in near the end.
Yet, thinking about it, Christa and Omid are in the game for about as much time as Carley or any of the others. Halfway through episode three, just as all of the others I've mentioned are gone. Maybe it's a form of bias I have towards characters that came earlier in the story rather than later. Similar to how I prefer season one and its characters in general more than any of the other seasons. Carley and Katjaa and everyone else are the characters we got to know first, so my mind ranks them as more important I guess.
That might also explain why, when I think of season one, I think of the first few episodes first and foremost instead of the latter ones. The drugstore, the motel, and the dairy, rather than anything in Savannah. Does anyone else experience this? Or do you consider the latter half of the season to be more iconic because of all the crazy events that happen there?
since i basically consider lilly a sister atp i just have to ask.. would it actually do lilly any good if she were to canonically have a younger sibling, and how it would change the plot, her characteristics, etc.?
I think that if Lilly had a younger sibling, it would really change a lot of her priorities. For one, she wouldn't be so focused on appearing her dad all the time if she has another family member to connect to. Furthermore, if Larry is also very harsh with this younger sibling, it might actually cause Lilly to push back on his behavior a little for the sake of protecting her sibling. She'd be able to more clearly see how Larry's behavior isn't acceptable if it was pointed at another person she cares about.
Lilly as a person would be a little more emotionally open, though mostly only with her sibling. That sibling could be a moderating factor for her, convincing her to ease up on the rest of the group a bit and work more with others rather than always trying to take charge. Lilly would still be devastated when Larry dies, and still blame Kenny for what happened, but I don't think she'd snap the way she did in canon if she still had someone to care about. Lilly would stick with the group, if only for the sake of protecting the only family member she has left. Thanks to the presence of Lilly and this younger sibling, as well as Carley/Doug still being alive, I think a lot would go better in the final episodes of the season. Less people would die, they'd be better able to fight the walkers, and they might even be able to stop the Stranger before he can abscond with Clementine. There'd be a lot of tension in the group between Lilly and Kenny, but they'd be alive at least.
Actually the real villian of Season 4 of twdg is still Larry for making Lilly that way

Quick rant: I don't like how they hard-confirmed Larry as being racist in season four. As far as I can tell, the only evidence FOR him being racist was that he doesn't deny it if Mark accuses him. Other than that, he actually has valid reasons to be distrustful of Lee, not to mention that he's a jerk to EVERYONE, including the other white people. That's not even getting into that he seems to have had a soft spot for Clementine, which wouldn't really make sense if he was racist.
Honestly, season four feels like character assassination for both Lilly and Larry, turning them from nuanced characters who can be very unpleasant at times, to straight-up cartoonishly evil.
It's just a shame as someone who finds Lilly pretty sympathetic in season one. I also consider Larry to actually be a pretty amusing character, almost like a sitcom archnemesis for Lee, so having them both made retroactively so much worse is just... ugh.
Let’s take ibuprofen….
