I need to vent
TW: bad friends, slight cursing, people pleasing
me and my friend are the "social butterflies" of our group who are "mentally ok" and everyone takes us, our kindness, and our need to make everyone happy for granted and I'm fucking sick of it. We're always trying so hard to keep up with at least ten people daily sometimes up to 20 people. No one seems to realize how hard and stressful that is, we constantly are rushing around making everyone else happy and draining ourselves. Our social batteries burn out so quickly to the point we only want to be around each other sometimes cause we can just sit in silence and "recharge" almost because we both know that the other one's gonna be there. We were both enjoying our first good day in a while where everything was chill and then someone says something, we read it neither of us knew how to respond so we were trying to figure out how to do it without making it worse and someone gets mad at us for not responding immediately. We're both so fucking done with it.
