I don't know anything about that actor but pretty much anyone can edit on imdb. That's how there have been so many issues with tw imdb in the past too. There were always listing for actors that were definitely not going to happen (and didn't) and even adding characters like Isaac to eps that he was never going to be in etc. For all we know that whole show listing is fan made.
Thank you, anon!! @drgrlfriend yeah with this in mind, this is feeling less and less believable. I absolutely don’t put it past Jeff as something he’d do –– bring in some new Hale as a high school student with a barely explained backstory to capitalize on the name draw –– but this isn’t feeling right to me.
If anyone’s getting nervous or upset about this, let’s just take a deep breath and wait. The show’s still at least a year out from poisoning our screens.
Alrighty then let's do this. So the new protagonist? A girl. Shocking, I know. So this girl is new, she moves in from somewhere. She gets invited to a party or whatever before school starts. She's sitting on the porch when she sees something move in the forest. She goes to investigate and it's a kid her age. He's lived here his whole life. He wants to go do something in the woods, this girl is like you are crazy but I'm bored and don't want you to die and follows him. (1/4)
This is when the pack member bites out protagonist. She finds the kid at school the next day. She shows him that the bite has healed. They go to his house to figure out what the fuck is happening. They walk in, and there's someone sitting in the living room. It's the pack member that bit her! Turns out they're friends with this dude's parents. How? One of his parents will turn out to be… a part of Scott's pack too! Dun dun dun… (2/4)
(You know they’ll do it. It’ll be Kira or something. Which would be good because Kira deserves happiness and being on Teen Wolf again.) They do research and find the only explanation to be werewolves. They are confused. Queue the rest of the season, cumulating in a season finale in which we see everyone, older and more badass than ever. (3/4)
Added: them not being impressed with Scott McCall at first because he doesn't look like much, also he's like. The veterinarian. And then Scott is super Alpha werewolf badass and everyone is impressed. (4/4)
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, ur theories on the spin-off are 100x better, more dramatic, more Interesting, more dynamic, than anything the teen wolf writers will bring to the table and that’s cold hard Fax
(also i would watch this... like u’ve literally succeeded in making me care about these OCs in the span of 4 tumblr inbox messages which is more than the tw writers can do in a season LMAO)
so i understand that seb apparently had no say in who replaced him, and had no clue who was going to replace him, but still complied with the weirdly specific deadline that aston martin asked him to announce his retirement by (sunday before the summer break started, which coincidentally was july 31, the alleged end of oscar piastri's contract)...
hi, as per the 6x12 promo, they're fighting their fears. Just a wild thought, so, Kate and Jennifer are Derek's fear, idk?
I’ve heard some people suggesting that. What I’d assume is that Kate’s real (we know she’s alive, and we know Gerard’s in the season so why not have her come back for real to close out her story) and Jennifer’s fake/dream/boggart-esque monster thing.

How would Sterek be used to launch the spinoff? (I don't mean to sound mean, just curious). Would the spinoff even have O'Brien or Hoechlin in it? I haven't kept up with news about this so I've got no idea what Jeff even wants for a spinoff, but O'Brien's getting some pretty big roles and I heard Hoechlin wants to focus on movies. Not sure either would come back for a spinoff even if they are the protagonists.
Oh no worries :) No, I don’t think either of them would be involved. But if Jeff ends the show by giving the largest ship/fandom what they want (and we’re definitely the largest ship, and I don’t doubt he knows it), we’d be much more likely to view and support whatever he came up with next. We’d also potentially come back in the hopes of seeing cameos (and you can be sure that Jeff won’t ever outright say there won’t be cameos. He’ll say “you never know” or “the spirit of these characters will shine through” or anything else to get viewers peeking in and hoping.)
So making Sterek canon at this point might be a smart business decision on Jeff’s part. I’m not trying to get anyone’s hopes up, and I still don’t think it’s happening, but if it does end up happening, I’m just saying that would be why.
With regards to hale children /siblings, I always kind of thought there was a human brother between Laura and Derek. I agree with previous statements that Derek is totally a middle child, and I can just see the brother being older and Derek not feeling like he measures up except that he's a wolf while the older brother is human. Just my thoughts though. Also probably one younger sibling (probably before Cora since she seems like she could be the baby to me)
You know, I can’t quite figure out why, but I keep wanting there to be an older Hale brother. Maybe it’s just, as you said, since Derek seems like such a middle child I can’t really justify there being a couple of younger siblings and not any more older ones. Since Derek and Laura are probably, at most, two years apart though, it makes it tricky to imagine fitting another sibling in between them. (There definitely could be, but that would mean Talia would have had to be pregnant for basically three years straight and most families tend to want some sort of break between kids.)
But what if the brother was older than Laura?
We always assume Laura’s the oldest because (we assume) she was destined to be Alpha. ...Which is honestly not necessarily true, I don’t think canon ever actually said anything of the sort, that’s just the impression fandom as a whole has about her character (and isn’t that kind of cool that fandom has constructed just such a solid idea of who this character with like three seconds of screentime is? But anyway) Back on topic though, we assume Laura was the oldest but what if she was just the oldest wolf? If the older brother was human like you say (and I enjoy that idea a lot) he could easily be the oldest sibling, fully grown up and just living back at home after college or just working instead of going to school.
In fact, if we take into account the fact that we don’t know Laura was destined to be Alpha, Derek could have had multiple adult siblings, some or all of them wolves... maybe even with spouses and children of their own, and that’s why there were so many Hales in the house during the fire. After all, a young couple just starting out, especially with wolf children who crave a strong sense of pack and community, could easily decide to stay with their Alpha for a few years before getting their own place. Maybe the children who died in the fire weren’t Derek’s younger siblings, but were nieces and nephews.
And not to mention, Derek being one of the youngest children, rather than the second born, would explain why he had no training as Alpha and is completely unprepared for the role. You’d think the second born would usually be given some leadership training even during peaceful times, just in case of an accident or something. I can’t see Talia and Deaton not considering that possibility and taking precautions, considering the huge responsibility if anything happened to their eldest at some point. Also, Laura not actually being the intended Alpha could explain why her response to the fire was to just “run run run as far as possible and hide” instead of seeking out any of the more local packs that apparently existed at the time *side-eyes Satomi* or seeking out Deaton. She might not have had all the information about local resources and alliances, because she’d been given less training at that point than her elder sibling, who everyone expected to become Alpha.
...Man, there are so many possibilities here, honestly.
There are such things as cameras with motion detector for wildlife observation. Maybe the footage of Derek running through the forest could've been from something like that. At least, it would explain him not noticing anyone. Though, I doubt they would be high resolution... And it still would not account for it being supposedly recent material.
Oh huh, that’s an interesting thought. I feel like the camera was definitely following him though, wasn’t it? And I’m pretty sure cameras like that would be stationary, not turning to keep a moving subject in frame (though I might be wrong, they might have more advanced ones than I’ve seen).
Still, like the shirt-switch mugshot yesterday, this is probably the best possible explanation. Anything involving a real person standing there taking footage of him (unless they’ve got some kind of werewolf-sense dampening magic around them, which would be a cool arc I’m sure the show’s not actually hinting at) just doesn’t make sense.
