Had to block my first person because of an ask today.. We do NOT stand with ice or any of those disgusting dictators you mentioned. This is a safe space for all races. Kindly pack up your discrimination and screw off.

I know everyone and their mother will have something to say about the ICE storyline this episode. Honestly, my reaction the whole time was fear, and rage, and frustration, and that sick leaden feeling in my stomach. I don't know if ICE agents IRL would even bring someone into the ER if they got hurt during detention. Is that what that writer meant by being fair to both sides, presenting ICE as an agency that would take the extra step to bring someone in for medical treatment? From everything we've seen, that's simply not the case. Detainees are left to suffer, or die. They get dropped off miles from home, disabled in the wintertime, only to be found dead days later, unheard from by their families. They get beaten and abused and tortured and they're lucky to receive bare minimum medical care in facilities far less capable than the pitt. I understand they're only reflecting real life, as much as they can on a major network, working around censorship and conflicting storylines. I'm curious to know what the filming experience was like for all the people of color on set and on staff, to fictionalize the very real trauma that's facing them and their families and communities while actors get paid to dress up and play as their abusers and kidnappers - i hope they got the support and care they needed.
