Request - Garrett “Fallen Angel”
You sighed and crossed your arms over your chest, seeing how he came home with that grin on his face and that twinkle in his eyes. It was that you couldn’t smell money, but you knew that you would smell it all over him. Again.
“Garrett...” You hissed between your teeth. Your cheeks were glowing and red, your veins were swollen from anger. “You really don’t want me to earn that place in heaven back, do you?” You cocked your head and saw how he shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t think you’ll earn that back with saving monsters.” He was still smiling and you followed him inside leaning against the doorpost.
“I was sent to the earth to save lives.” You paused and took a deep breath. “You’re not helping.” You saw how he laughed, shaking his head. You knew how he thought about this, how monsters weren’t human, how their lives didn’t count, how angels should be caring about all the people he was saving by killing the monsters.
“I’m helping you.” Garrett walked towards you and he pressed his hands next to your head on the wall. “All those monsters killed or would kill humans.” His nose was almost touching yours and you were holding your breath. “That are the lives you’re saving.” He moved away again and you breathed out, grabbing his wrist to force him to turn back towards you.
“I was sent to you.” You stared at him, your eyes meeting his, a part of your brain understanding what he was saying, another part of your brain knowing that he was wrong, that you wouldn’t be here if he was right. “I asked how I could get my wings back and they said that I should stop you.” You swallowed and saw how he rolled his eyes.
“I’m not going to stop.” He turned his wrist and freed himself, but you didn’t want to give up, didn’t want to ruin your chance to get your wings back, didn’t want to give up everything you had been fighting for.
“I’ll find a way to stop you.” You crossed your arms over your chest again and saw how Garrett turned around. Your heart was beating in your chest and blood was running through your veins.
“What were you going to do? Kill me?” He laughed and you bit your lip. “Killing me will for sure not get your wings back, little angel.” He shook his head, but you smiled.
“Who says that in this case you’re not the monster? That you’re not the one who should be killed to save lives?” You saw a little worry in his eyes.
“You wouldn’t do that, would you?” He stepped closer towards you and you felt his arms around your waist.
“You kill for money. My wings are worth a lot more than you will ever earn.” You leaned in and pressed your lips on his, feeling how he kissed you back.
“I don’t think you can do it.” He whispered.
“I wouldn’t count on that.”
