okay. this is a thing that i've been struggling with all season. because, as you all know, i ship sterek till the end. and i have been incredibly frustrated by the blatant attempts to dis-rail it by going "hey, here are two conveniently female new characters that are conveniently attracted to the two members of this huge ship that we don't want to make canon".

but i am not a person who participates in hate, so i've been trying to take a step back and just not-be-bothered by all the stalia and ...whatevertheshipnameforderekandbraedenis... because i don't want to hate on the actresses and i am growing to like malia as a character.

but it also bothers the shit out of me every single episode and i really don't know why. i've watched many shows in my life, and i've had many ships, and i've always been able to overlook canon when it suits me. so why does this particular instance bother me so much? 

idk. but i'm struggling because i love seeing derek's smiley face and i love the sass/sexualtension between him and braeden and i don't know how to reconcile it with this disgust that i have for the blatant "here have a shiny object and forget about your ship" that it is.
