Also I noticed that the twitter account about Justin Kirk talked about this auction and that we need to reread TTOTBT (and not just them).

Hmm… oh yes, I believe that Lestat decided to buy Rue Royale again, and he went to the auction to try to buy as many of the things that he had previously owned as possible. If I’m not mistaken, he had this idea in his mind that if he could re-create their happiest years that Louis might come back to him. If I’m not mistaken, Louis did not come back and so Lestat bought an apartment someplace else, but he kept the Rue Royale house just as it was. And I remembered that in TVL people kept stealing his stuff because he was like going away for a long periods of time and he would come back in the house with continuously robbed. Oh gosh, or was that the beginning of Memnoch? 🤣 somebody help me I think I’m starting to get my books mixed up.
