With a bluetooth ear-piece in her ear, Rose walked around talking to an old friend of hers with a pumpkin spice latte with no foam in her hand. It was perfectly heated to two hundred degrees just as she had asked the barista to do. “No, you nimrod. If I had been sober, do you think I would’ve done something so fucking stupid? Now I’m being hunted down my pathetic little girls. One spritz of wolfsbane and they’ll crawl away. Wait, no, I’d rather push them into a pool of wolfs– shit. Gotta go. Stupid boy I stupidly kissed is near. Bye, bitch.” With that, Rose pressed the button and ended the call before she walked toward Zac with indifference. “Can I be around you or is there an assassin who’s ready to kill me once I’m three feet near you?” she asked.

After the brusque man spoke to her, Rose was in a sour mood until she fed on a waiter only ten minutes before her encounter with Zac. She was as frivolous as she could possibly be at the event, but her exuberance flittered away when she saw him. All she wanted now was for this conversation to be short and to the point. Rose inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled as she looked up with a tiny smile. “Hi, Zac. You look dashing this evening,” she said, wanting to have nothing more than a bland, civil conversation.

MORNING: Zaaac. Zaaac. Yoooo. Are you awake? Yeah? FOOOD. I won’t stop texting you until you get me food. Please?

WASN’T SENT: I’m terrified… I need you. Please don’t leave me… Come back.

DRUNK: oh mer gawd remember tht time wen i sed i got arested? yaeh help me bb ily thxxxxxx :*

LATE NIGHT: I can’t sleep. Come over and watch horror movies with me.

HATEFUL: Did you see that fucking mutt? I might be fucking humAN BUT IMMA RIP HER APART. AINT NOBDOY HOLDIN’ ME BACK FUSDJFHKSDG i rage quit. yup.

CURIOUS: Do you really love her?

ACCIDENTAL: Omg Vickie this is an emergency!!!?!!! I feel like there’s a part of me trying to tell me that I love him but like I doNT KNOW???? (later) FUCK. Wrong person oops.

HEARTBREAKING: I feel empty. The voidness is going to kill me unless someone else emotionally does before… I don’t know which one is less painful.  

After stifling a yawn, Rose blinked a few times, slowly returning to her consciousness. She pushed herself up and glanced down at the sleeping Mikaelson, so she flung her arm, hitting his shoulder hard enough to wake him up. “Wake up, shithead!” she murmured, not fully awake yet. Her daylight ring had unwittingly slipped off her finger, so when she rolled out of bed to open the curtains, the light that touched her skin caused her to scream in pain. “Fuck, fuck, fucking kill me,” she cried, curling up in a defensive ball, still partly in the sun.
