[Tuthmosis] writes that long hair is “almost universally attractive to men, when they’re actually speaking honestly. . . Women instinctively know this, which is why every American girl who cuts, and keeps, her hair short often does it for ulterior reasons . . . Short hair is a political statement. And, invariably, a girl who has gone through with a short cut – and is pleased with the changes in her reception – is damaged in some significant way. Short hair is a near-guarantee that a girl will be more abrasive, more masculine, and more deranged.” The essential argument is: men like long hair, and what sane woman would ever want to do anything that decreases her capacity to please men?

I wear my hair short for a number of reasons, and admittedly one of them is because I like the way it says I don't put a priority on pleasing men. Does that make me damaged? Only if it's unhealthy to dislike being a object of impersonal desire. My husband is the only man I want to please with my appearance, and even then, his wants come after my own.

So this guy http://www.returnofkings.com/author/tuthmosis/ is writing the most sexist and misogynist articles ever. Here are some of my favourite bits from the one called "Girls with short hair are damaged" (I chose this one because I recently cut my hair short and it's kind of personally offensive)

No woman in all of human history has ever looked better with short hair than she would with a head full of healthy locks. (first sentence)

 The cowardly and deluded among us [men] perpetuate the myth that “some girls can pull it off.” 

[talking about girls he met] One had a short, boy-like haircut, while her friend had long, healthy black hair. I mean what makes short hair 'unhealthy'?

While men—to paraphrase an astute manosphere commentator—seek to stand out from the crowd, women’s aim to stand out in the crowd. Dude, you gotta understand, we don't do it cause the fucking Miley Cyrus cut her hair (no offense), we do it cause we like it!

...people who have no business commenting on the attractiveness of women, like gay men... Please, do tell us, why can't gay men tell if a girl is beatiful or not? They're gay, not blind!

Well, no. Just no.

The bitchiest work colleagues, the most difficult cashier, the most confrontational, aggressive cunts in bars have all shared one trait—short-ass hair. Well, the worst political leaders in the history are men. All of them. You know what that means? Men suck. That's basically your theory, I'm just applying it to the other gender.

Not only is short-hair unattractive, it’s one of the biggest signals a man can get that a woman is damaged beyond repair. There’s no such thing as “pulling it off.” I can't even... I just... no, that's wrong beyond fixing...

So, this guy is saying that if the few girls he has seen have both short hair and mental probles, then all girls with short hair are freaks. Have you heard of correlational studies in psychology? They straight-forward tell you that when you have a correlation between two variables (short hair and level of damage in this case) you simply have correlation, nothing more. One of the characteristics of the correlational studies is that you can't get causation from correlation. You can't say they cut their hair because they are damaged. They can be both short-haired and damaged or just one of them, but if they are one of them it doesn't mean they have to be the other too. And if some of the girls with short hair are crazy, that doesn't mean all of them are. I bet there are just as many crazy girls with "a head full of healthy locks" as there are with "a short, boy-like haircut". 

I've seen his twitter where a lot of girls were disagreeing with him, some of them rather aggresive. I certainly think they have a reason to be mad at him but I suggest we stay calm and beat him with reasonable arguments so he can't say "Short-haired girl just sent me 100 insane tweets in a row about Girls With Short Hair Are Damaged. She's not damaged, though" (actual tweet, I just removed the girl's name) We are not damaged we are just super furious because of you.

The worst part is that men are agreeing with him! I don't understand why they can't see how wrong he is, but apparently it makes sense to some people. I believe we have to make people see the real prolblem and understand how wrong this kind of thinking is.

Okay, so this got way too long. I hope someone will eventually read it, though. I think a lot of people disagree with him too and it's for a reason. We have to spread this and make more people aware that people like Tuthmosis actually exist and spread their sexist, misogynist, racist, etc.
