{{ #floridaboxturtle π’ #crossingmypath πΈπ±π’ }} #somepinkflowers πΈ So many turtles cross my yard on the way from road traffic to wildness #downbythecreek π±π³π²π΄ I call this little place #turtleslide . π’π’π’ It gentles down a small incline towards a creek which eventually winds north to the Intracoastal waterway. ππ½ππ±π²π’ When I was young it was ~The Thing~ to make a wee paint mark on the shell so you might know if you saw the same turtle again. π’ I do not remember if I ever saw the same #boxturtle twice but I always loved the slow unexpected surprise of them marching across the grass. π’ Of course I did fret. π Always there was only one. How would she find her tribe ? However. They must do as there are so many marching across my path. Turtle is an #animaltotem for me. This was a male reminding me to stay grounded. π’ I have everything I need. π’ I living a deliberate life is best for me. π’ What wildness crosses your life with gentle reminders ? Sunday evening at dusk a large buck π¦ ran right across me within a few yards. I had been-fretting about my slow healing, bike-crashed hand not healing properly. ππ½ Should I have an X-ray ? From me, personally, a deer reminds me to live fully each moment. Life is quick & gone. π¦ I had an X-ray Monday morning & there is a fracture which needs professional attention. ππ½ Tomorrow we will see what I am to do. ππ½ππ½ππ½ To live fully for me means painting, writing, gardening, cooking with my full head, heart & hand. π’π¦π² (at St. Augustine, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEDFBcXgL02/?igshid=1mnak6kae3u8w
