Discussing it with Anthony, her voice is a little raspy. Trying to think of characters to compare her voice to, he went with “Rainbow Dash, but a bit less excitable and somewhat deeper,” if that helps. Maybe like Jasper from Steven Universe, just... friendly

I’ll be elaborating on spellbooks and the types of abilties you can gain from them later! But basically, the idea is that every party member has a set of basic abilities that they learn as they level up, and they can also all equip one spellbook at a time to expand their movesets

all the bits where it’s like “wow this is so funny because this big dude is CLEARLY not a woman, he’s just wearing a dress and makeup!” is derived from that. everything about it. his adam’s apple showing. his over-the-top “girly” mannerisms. his stereotypical drag queen look. all the bits where he’s afraid that someone will see through his act. that’s the joke. the joke is that you’re supposed to take one look at him and go “THAT’S not a girl,” and then his discomfort is supposed to be funny
