today on another reason to love gai: he can use ninjutsu - he can summon turtles and his jutsu nature is fire and lightning - he just doesn’t use it. at all. he chooses to not distract himself with other jutsu types, instead pouring everything into his taijutsu in order to master it fully. lee didn’t have a choice. gai did and he just said ‘screw it i don’t need other jutsu types, i can kick you ass the old fashioned way’ and that’s just grand.
