The nice thing about writing poems is that you can slip in the occasional made-up word and no one will ever know.
Tundral
This is me begging with a plea-- Spare me. Anxiety is a tundral of rain In a steady build In a sturdy climb In the cave that is my chest And it breaks forth across the rainforest of my day And I let it have its way as I pelted by drops Up in the canopy on top. There are different shades of rain: The misty pinpricks that kiss your rain, The warm summer drizzles that swaddled you whole, The crisp clean cut of a drop that licks you clean, Each rain has their role In the washing of your soul, But this rain is a sweltering whiplash, A nasty tethering of your heart being bashed. Relief comes as the clouds pass Through the hands of the sun Streaming through the hailfire of fog, Boiling all anxiety until it is done.
