Today our foundation dig was delayed and since it felt more like December than November we thought it was fitting to share our latest fireplace design 🔥. The upgraded fireplace is a @superiorfireplaces gas fireplace from @heartlanddsm. The interior of the fireplace details a white herringbone liner—hence the upgrade 😁. The stone is an @eldoradostone brand, tundra brick design in the color chalk dust from @iastonesupply. We stacked the stones vertically to add a decorative header. The mantel is a stained knotty alder—another upgrade. Knotty alder is a higher end finish wood and like its name may display pin knots, grain fuzz and mineral streaks. It is also known for its ability to accept stain well giving the mantel interesting character.
