obsessed with this heated rivalry thing where everything is the same but make it a different sport. I might do it and put them in a competitive classical music scenario. i think this au thing is so good because it can help a lot with relating the situation to the author of it. it would make scenarios more realistic while keeping their personalities accurate, and it's fun to imagine them in a closer world to you. I'm having trouble applying it to the classical music world though. I don't see quite the same competitiveness there as sports (although I am a violist, not a violinist) and fame is usually separated into instruments. i will continue to think about this

i just think chamber music is so so so beautiful because each part has a voice and will always have a voice. no matter how small, it needs to be heard. but at the same time, everyone in the group knows which part has the main voice and gives room for that to be heard first. it allows the audience to have a grasp of the main story while giving small details, its just written so smartly and shows how smart the audience is. it's so complex (so many different voices) while balancing being simple and obvious (all the voices are clearly heard)
