“okay. well you’re the one who lost the horse so.. consider us even.” tucker snapped back as he continued wandering, what seemed like, a never-ending forrest. he’d gone on many patrols yet this particular location was quite unfamiliar to him. to make matters worse he was assigned to ride with his ex of all people. not only did he not want to deal with the conversations about the random break up tucker had initiated weeks prior, but he didn’t want to deal with anyone else’s ineptitude when it came to this job. tucker felt like he was better than most people, at least when it came to killing zombies, and while it was never actually said it was always implied in the way tucker carried himself.

He draws his arrow, startled by the sound of feet snapping branches, until he suddenly catches sight of blonde locks coming around a large tree stump. “Scarlet!?” Tucker scolded, slightly annoyed to find her. “What the hell are you doing here?” They weren’t far from home at all but Tucker expected a quiet evening by the river. Perhaps to do a little bit of bird watching before the sun had set. Not the presence of another soul, especially his frequent hook-up. // @coolwxthyou​

“i don’t care who left it or why they left it.” tucker responds, determined to take it all by any means necessary. “we’re taking it. their fucking loss.” when it came down to supplies tucker knew it was every man/woman for themselves. he wasn’t the most caring human -- it’s not like he’d put another's life before his -- except maybe hers. after passing her one of the two guns hidden within the bag he zips it up and tosses it over his shoulder, now rising to his feet. “lets keep moving and find shelter. keep your eyes peeled.”

“what the-” tucker was stunned. she was the last person he would have expected to chase down. realizing they could be seen, he takes their hand and pulls her into a secluded room of the building. “i thought you were dead.” he mutters, too shocked to even enjoy the fact she was standing before him. he lowers his bow, slipping his arrow back into his quiver as he continues to stare. it had been years since the outbreak. five long years thinking she was dead and struggling to come to terms with her (presumed) death.

pretending he couldn’t make her birthday had to be the perfect surprise. with tucker being gone for the week thanks to a firefighting convention most of his planning had to be done from a distance, which worked to his advantage. little did analisa know he was already at her place, dressed up with a (cheesy) single rose and a small gift (no, not an engagement ring.) damn ana and his strong fondness for her --  he would have dressed up for anyone else. after sending her a quick clip saying happy birthday he waited for her to enter her apartment. standing by the entrance trying to figure out how to stupidly stand. fucking hell, what am i doing? // @distortedpalace​

after a long day on the trails tucker wanted nothing more to do than to have himself a cold drink in solitude. not only did he find himself jealous seeing his ex spending time with someone he loathed (regardless of it being platonic or something more), he was frustrated by an injury sustained from days ago. he gripped his rib cage as he tried to distract himself with a drink and a basket full of french fries when he noticed said person approaching the bar next to him. “look what the cat dragged in.” he greeted teasingly.  // @silvrmoon​
